Cross-chain is now live on Portals Explorer
Portals Explorer now supports cross-chain. You can move into any opportunity on Explorer from almost any asset, on almost any chain, in one flow.
Portals Explorer now supports cross-chain. You can move into any opportunity on Explorer from almost any asset, across major blockchains, in one flow.
Cross-chain has been live in the Portals API for integrators building source-chain transactions with route context and settlement previews. Now that same capability sits directly inside Explorer, the yield discovery surface anyone can use.
How Cross-chain on Portals works
Cross-chain routing on Portals is powered by Relay, as the primary router for all chains, swaps, and zaps.

Relay handles the routing and settlement layer. This includes finding the path, moving assets across chains with fast settlement and no lock-up, and executing at lower cost than legacy bridges.
Portals handles discovery, scoring, and surfacing the opportunity, then routes the zap through Relay into the destination position.

Together, you go from a token on one chain to a live position on another in a single flow, without manually bridging first.
Expanding the reach of DeFi
The point of cross-chain on Explorer is to get reach along with convenience. Explorer enables this by indexing opportunities across a wide set of chains and protocols, including a long tail of assets that most aggregators and front ends never list.
RWAs, tokenized stocks, looping vaults, niche stablecoin strategies, and newly discovered opportunities all sit alongside the blue chips. Many of these are not accessible anywhere else in a single click.

Cross-chain removes the last barrier to that catalog. Previously, reaching an opportunity on a chain you did not already hold assets on meant bridging manually, then swapping, then depositing.
As a result, the asset you hold and the chain it sits on, stop being a constraint. If Explorer lists it, you can route into it.
Any token in. Any position out. Including Base Stocks.
One of the clearest examples is tokenized stocks on Base. Coinbase Tokenized Stocks are live on Explorer, with yield, pools, and lending built around them.
With cross-chain, you no longer need to already be on Base or holding the right asset to get in. Instead, you can zap from a token on another chain and land in a Base stock opportunity directly.
Many more stocks are coming to Base, and Explorer is built to index them as they arrive.
Enter the Base $10K raffle on Portals
Zap once into a participating position on the Base Stocks on Portals Explorer, and you’re in the $10,000 raffle.
Here’s how it works. Visit the Base Stocks on Portals Explorer, choose one of the participating positions listed on the page, connect your wallet, and complete your zap. That’s it. The same zap that gets you into a tokenized-stock or related DeFi position enters you into the raffle.
