Portals Launches on Robinhood Chain
Portals now supports Robinhood Chain. Explorer coverage is live. The full API stack is available to integrators. Here's what that means for you.
Portals now supports Robinhood Chain, the Arbitrum-based Ethereum L2 built for tokenized real-world assets and DeFi. Explorer coverage is live. The full API stack is available to our integrators.
Robinhood Chain launched five weeks ago and posted one of the fastest TVL accumulation curves in recent DeFi history. Here's what that means, and why we picked it.
What Is Robinhood Chain?
Robinhood Chain is a permissionless, EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack by Robinhood, the zero-commission brokerage with nearly 28 million users.
It launched public mainnet on July 1, 2026, with one clear thesis: bring real-world assets on-chain and make them composable with DeFi, without asking users to leave the Robinhood ecosystem.
The flagship product is Stock Tokens: on-chain instruments providing economic exposure to publicly traded companies including NVIDIA, Apple, and Google, tradeable 24/7 in over 120 countries via Robinhood Wallet. They are not available to US persons, and are also restricted in several other jurisdictions including Canada, the UK, Switzerland, and the UAE.
Holders can use Stock Tokens as collateral in lending pools or deploy them across DeFi protocols without paperwork or settlement delays.
On the yield side, Robinhood Earn is a decentralized lending product powered by Morpho, currently offering approximately 7% APY on USDG. Uniswap serves as the core public liquidity protocol. Lighter (a ZK rollup exchange backed by Robinhood) handles perpetual futures. Chainlink provides price oracles. All four were live on day one. Gas fees are subsidized by Robinhood for the first 90 days.
Robinhood Chain in Numbers
The speed at which capital moved onto Robinhood Chain is worth paying attention to. Three days after launch, TVL sat at $39M. Today DeFiLlama shows approximately $472M in DeFi TVL, a $582M stablecoin market cap (56% USDG), and over $1.35B in total bridged TVL including native and canonical assets.
Weekly active addresses have cleared 1 million, and the network surpassed Base in daily active users on July 21 per Artemis data. Cumulative transactions have passed 200 million. 24-hour DEX volume runs in the $460M range, with $2.9B over the trailing week.
Morpho and its associated risk curator Steakhouse Financial together account for the largest share of TVL on the chain, roughly $700M combined across the lending stack. Uniswap adds around $79M.
Early volume got a lift from memecoin activity (CASHCAT in particular), but TVL has kept climbing even as that initial speculative wave settled. Capital is staying and compounding, not just passing through, which points to genuine liquidity taking root rather than a launch-week spike.
For context: Robinhood's 28 million brokerage users represent one of the largest ready retail audiences of any chain launch in history. The on-chain data already reflects that distribution advantage.
What This Launch Means for Portals Explorer
Robinhood Chain assets are now fully indexed in Portals Explorer.

Explorer users can browse yield opportunities across Robinhood Chain protocols, monitor real-time APYs and TVL, track asset prices and characteristics, and view portfolio positions across connected wallets; the same functionality available on every supported network.
For users looking to track USDG yield positions, monitor Stock Token collateral deployments, or evaluate DeFi opportunities across Morpho and Uniswap on Robinhood Chain, Explorer is the data layer.
Discover yield opportunities across Robinhood Chain protocols with real-time APYs and TVL, all in one place.
What This Launch Means for API Integrators
The full Portals API stack is available on Robinhood Chain.

Asset Discovery & Data Query any Robinhood Chain asset (including Stock Tokens, USDG positions, LP tokens, vault positions, and yield-bearing instruments) for real-time and historical data. APYs, TVL, prices, underlying token composition, and contract addresses are all accessible through the standard Portals data endpoints.
Swap & Zap Execution Smart-route swap and zap execution is live on Robinhood Chain. Any-asset-to-any-asset swaps, single-transaction entry and exit from yield positions, and Portals' native DEX aggregation are all available.
For developers building RWA products, yield aggregators, or applications targeting Robinhood's user base on-chain, this is the execution layer.
Portfolio & Balance Queries Wallet balance queries, position tracking, and portfolio-level analytics work across Robinhood Chain through the standard Portals endpoints.
Integrators building multi-chain portfolio tools get Robinhood Chain coverage without additional instrumentation.
Robinhood Chain is fully available in the developer dashboard.
Why Robinhood Chain
Adding network support is a deliberate decision. We look at where serious infrastructure is being deployed, where liquidity is real and growing, and where our tools provide the most value to the builders and traders operating there.
Robinhood Chain clears all three. The TVL growth trajectory is among the sharpest of any chain launch on record.
The user base behind it is 28 million brokerage customers with direct wallet access. And the RWA surface area (Stock Tokens, USDG, Morpho lending, Lighter perpetuals) creates a yield and trading environment that Portals is purpose-built to surface and navigate.
